Pop Warner’s Scholars program recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement while participating in football, cheer and dance. This year, Big Island Pop Warner was proud to celebrate dozens of local players and cheerleaders who have gone above and beyond, showing us all what it means to be true champions — in school and in sports.
To qualify as a Pop Warner Little Scholar, students must maintain at least a 96% GPA and show leadership in their schools and communities. These young role models have mastered the balance between books and play, tackling homework and touchdowns with equal determination.
From early morning practices to late-night study sessions, our athletes proved that dedication pays off. Coaches, parents, and teachers alike have praised the effort and enthusiasm these scholars bring to everything they do.
On May 24 in Waikoloa, the scholars and their biggest supporters gathered for a special awards ceremony honoring this year’s All-American Scholars. With proud families cheering them on, students received certificates, lei, and custom-made scholar shirts. The energy was electric, and the message was clear: education matters, and effort counts.
To this year’s All-American Scholars — keep reaching high, dreaming big and showing the world what you’re made of. You are the future, and we couldn’t be prouder!
