The Hawaii County Office of Housing and Community Development is seeking community input on Hawaii Island’s housing needs for the Affordable Housing Production Program.
According to a press release, the information gathered will be used to help shape the priorities and goals for the upcoming fiscal year 2025-2026 round of program funding.
“We strongly encourage residents to share their perspectives and help shape our goals for the next round of funding,” Mayor Kimo Alameda said in the press release. “Together, we can build more housing and ensure projects reflect the needs and priorities of our communities.”
To reach as many residents as possible, OHCD has created an online survey and will hold two public meetings in March.
