The public is invited to the next general meeting of the League of Women Voters of Hawaii County for a conversation with James Hustace, Hawaii County Council member for District 9 (North and South Kohala).
It will be held in person and via Zoom at 10 a.m. (arrive by 9:50) on Saturday at Tutu’s House, 64-1021 Mamalahoa Highway, No. 305 in Waimea.

Hustace, who was elected in November, will share his priorities for District 9 and his first days as a newly elected member on the council.
His talk will be followed by Q&A with the audience.
Hustace has deep roots in Hawaii, born on Oahu and raised in Waimea, where he helped raise llamas and sheep on his family’s small farm.
After completing his education at Hawaii Preparatory Academy, he pursued a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies at Lawrence University. He further expanded his academic background by studying Geographic Information Systems at the University of Redlands and later earned a master’s in public administration from Hawaii Pacific University.
Hustace continues to be highly involved in his community, volunteering for various organizations throughout North Hawaii.
