Arlene Francis Green, 84, of Kailua-Kona died Dec. 14 at home. Born in Decatur, Ind., she was part-owner of several businesses including construction contracting and rental properties on Oahu and a clothing store in Kailua-Kona, advocate for worker’s rights and union organizer, artist, roller skater and high school cheerleader. Betty Louise Kaeo Haggadone, 71, of Pahoa died Dec. 5 at Straub Benioff Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Farmingdale, N.Y., she was a homemaker and medical specialist in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
