Traffic signal repairs will be conducted starting Monday on Kahaopea Street.
The repairs will take place this week from 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The initial work will begin on Kahaopea Street at Highway 11 (Kanoelehua Avenue) in the westbound (mauka-bound) lane of Kahaopea Street. During this time, no through traffic will be allowed at Kanoelehua Avenue via that lane.
Alternate routes will be available via Ahuna Road, Ohuohu Street and Pilipaa Street.
Police will be on-site to assist with traffic control.
Once the traffic signal repairs in the westbound lane are completed, work will commence on the eastbound lane of Kahaopea Street in the same area. During this phase, only right turns will be allowed onto Kanoelehua Avenue via the eastbound approach of Kahaopea.
The Department of Public Works and T&T Electric Inc. will be conducting the repair work.
