William “Bill” Kawahalama Aina, 82, of Keaukaha died Sept. 7 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired public schools custodian, worked for Hilo Iron Works, Kamaaina Motors, and Dodo Mortuary Life Plan and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Keaukaha Ward, Boy Scouts of America, Pukahi District and Troop 7. Visitation 9-11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hilo Stake Center, 1373 Kilauea Ave. Funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima Section. Casual attire.
