Civil Defense: Avoid Discovery Harbour due to brush fire
Authorities are requesting the general public avoid the area of Discovery Harbour in Ka‘u until further notice because of a brush fire.
A Civil Defense message this morning also said the Hawaii Fire Department is also recommending that residents downwind of the fire close windows due to smoke, ash and dust.
Anyone with difficulty breathing is asked to call 911.
