Violet Nora Caravalho, 89, of Kapaau died Feb. 15 in Waimea. Born in Kohala, she was a retired waitress for the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and member of Hawi Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Kohala Senior Citizens Club. Visitation 8:30-9:30 a.m. on Saturday (March 12) at Hawi Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Eulogy at 9:45 a.m. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at the church cemetery. Casual attire; face masks required. Survived by son, Harvey (Eva) Caravalho of Kohala; daughters, Susan (James) Keadle and Stella (Warren) Mendoza of Las Vegas, Patricia (Craig) Higaki of Waimea; sister, Margaret (Charles) Cosbodillo of Honolulu; sister-in-law, Maxine Pada of Honolulu; brother-in-law, Earl Kenneth Caravalho of Hilo; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter; nieces, nephews and cousins.
