Quality control: Hawaii Wai Ola provides community access to water testing data

With cauliflower coral spawning events anticipated to start this Sunday, the Kahaluu Bay Education Center and the Department of Land and Natural Resrouces Division of Aquatic Resources are asking the public to refrain from swimming and snorkeling at the popular bay off Alii Drive in Kailua-Kona. A new dataset, made public this month by Hawaii Wai Ola, gives community members access to high quality, open-source water quality testing data dating back to June 2020.
