Noralene Leeanne Ah Lo, 52, of Hilo died Aug. 23 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was the owner of the former Hairstyles by Nora and graduate of Waiakea High School and Pearlridge School of Beauty. Celebration of life at a later date. Survived by father, Kenneth Ah Lo of Hilo; brothers, Kenneth (Felidan) Ah Lo II of Honolulu and Akio Keola (Elaine) Nosaka of Virginia; nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Wayne Gilbert De Motta, 65, of Hilo died Sept. 7, 2020, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired Hawaii County paramedic, worked at the former Hilo Coast Processing Co., and was a member of Keaukaha Canoe Club, Hawaii Firefighters Association, black belt from Honomu Judo Club, fisherman and hunter. Visitation 8:30 a.m.-10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Celebration of life at 10 a.m. Face masks and social distancing required. Valentine Joseph “Joey” Gines Jr., 34, of Kalopa Mauka died Aug. 17. He was a self-employed heavy equipment operator and 2005 graduate of Kealakehe High School. Kathy Ann Hanohano, 63, of Pahoa, died Aug. 20 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a former manager at Keaau Dairy Queen and member of Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Private services. Gail Toyoko Nishimura, 62, of Pahala died Aug. 21 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pahala, she was a security guard at Pahala Elementary and High School and member of Pahala Hongwanji.
