Peggy Gnit Kwai Martin, 94, of Hilo died May 9. She was a homemaker, housekeeper at the former Naniloa Hotel and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Private service and burial held. Survived by brother, John (Florence) Loo of Honolulu; daughters, Darlene (Carl) Watanabe of Honolulu, Jarnell (Bob) Osborn and Pamela Martin of Hilo; sons, Joseph (Katie) Martin Jr. of Hilo and Jeffrey (Darlene) Martin of Mililani, Oahu; sister-in-law, Beatrice Martin of Hilo, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Ralph Robert Yackley, 77, of Kailua-Kona died May 4 at Life Care Center of Kona. Born in Aurora, Ill., he was a retired carpenter, member of the Hawaii Carpenters Union Local 745, Kona unit chair trustee for the union retirement fund, salesperson at Lowe’s, employee of the former Fantasia Furniture Store and U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Services at a later date. Survived by wife, Kal Yackley of Kailua-Kona; brother, Richard Yackley of Warrenville, Ill.; nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
