Hawaii County Mass Transit Administrator Brenda Carreira steps off a Roberts Hawaii Hele-On electric bus Wednesday. The bus, which was in service in Honolulu, is 100% electric and begins its service to riders in Hilo for the first time today. Roberts Hawaii, which is under contract with the Hawaii County Mass Transit Agency, is the owner of the bus that will serve riders on the morning Keaukaha route Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
