Thirty-five new COVID-19 cases were confirmed on the Big Island on Wednesday, bringing the island’s cumulative case total to 418.
Statewide, there were 339 new cases reported by the state Department of Health, bringing the state total to 8,991. Of those cases, 301 were on Oahu, where the total number of cases stood at 8,149.
One additional COVID-related death was reported in the state Wednesday, bringing the death toll to 75.
Free drive-through COVID-19 testing will be available at multiple sites between today and Saturday.
From 9 a.m.-1 p.m. today, drive-through testing will be available at Keaau High School, while on Friday, it will be available between the same hours at Pahoa Regional Park.
On Saturday, also between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., testing is available at Prince Kuhio Plaza in Hilo, across from the Macy’s Menswear department.
While insurance is not necessary to take advantage of the testing, those with insurance are asked to bring their insurance cards.
