Sampaga on quest to end bullying in schools

Daryl “Sammy” Sampaga, president of OSMD Hawaii, who promotes awareness of muscular dystrophy, took on a quest to promote an awareness to stop bullying among pre-teens and teenagers in schools.

Sampaga, along with Donald Saltiban, Kekoa Carvalho, Koa Gomes and Chris Ma‘e, recently visited Hilo High School students. His presentation made students aware that bullying is not cool and being bullied can lead to other serious social drawbacks. Some students who have been bullied contemplate suicide, running away and lead introvert lives.

Sampaga intends to continue his mission of promoting awareness to the youth by visiting other schools throughout the state to help stop bullying.
