Hawaii Community College Alumni and ‘Ohana is pleased to announce the 12th HCC Breakfast Fundraiser slated for 6:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Manono Campus in Hilo.
Enjoy a local-style breakfast of meat, eggs, rice, fruit, miso soup, coffee and juice prepared by the Culinary Arts program. The event celebrates the college’s ohana of students, alumni, faculty, staff, retirees and community supporters while raising funds for the Alumni and ‘Ohana Endowment, which is primarily used for student scholarships.
The breakfast includes an optional drive-through to get food to go (juice and coffee not available at drive-through).
The event also features a Country Store with donated goods available for purchase, as well as blood pressure testing by HCC nursing students.
The cost is $7. Tickets are available in advance from HCC faculty and staff or can be purchased at the door. Contact Callie Villanueva at 934- 2523 or calliev@hawaii.edu for more information.
Those who want to donate items to the Country Store can contact Mari Giel at marigiel@hawaii.edu or Kate De Soto at kdesoto@hawaii.edu. In the past, donations included crafts, plants and baked goods.
