It’s fair time in Kailua-Kona
The Dizzy Dragons return to the EK Fernandez Big Island Fair this weekend in Kailua-Kona. The fair opens today and runs through Sunday at the south end of Old Kona Airport Park. The event promises not only rides but also a carnival atmosphere that will include games, food booths, entertainment and for the first time, RoboCars life-sized transforming robot vehicles. There also are several entertainment acts slated during the fair. Hours are 6-11:30 p.m. today and Friday, noon-11:30 p.m. Saturday and noon-10 p.m. Sunday.
