Big Island graduation dates

The state Department of Education announced its 2019 graduation dates for public and charter schools statewide.

On Hawaii Island, those dates are:

Connections New Century Public Charter School, 4 p.m. Saturday, May 25, Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium; Hawaii Academy of Arts and Science, 4 p.m. Friday, May 24, Pahoa Regional Recreation Center, covered courts; Hilo High School, 6 p.m. Friday, May 24, Edith Kanakaole Stadium; Honokaa High and Intermediate School, 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, Honokaa Sports Complex; Ka‘u High and Pahala Elementary School, 5 p.m. Friday, May 24, Ka‘u District Gym; Keaau High School, 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 24, school stadium; Kohala High School, 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25, Hisaoka Gymnasium; Konawaena High School, 9 a.m. Saturday, May 25, Julian Yates Field; Kua O Ka La New Century Public Charter School, 9 a.m. Friday, May 24, Makuu Farmers Market; Laupahoehoe Community Public Charter School, 6 p.m. Friday, May 24, school campus; Pahoa High an Intermediate School, 5:30 p.m. Sunday, May 26, Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium; Waiakea High School, 6 p.m. Saturday, May 25, Edith Kanakaole Stadium; Waimea High School, 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 24, school campus; West Hawaii Explorations Academy, 6 p.m. Friday, May 24, school campus.
