Ronald Kirk Green, 58, of Kona died Sept. 7 at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born in Salt Lake City, he was a self-employed master drywaller and member of Group of Hawaii. No services. Survived by father, Ralph (Margaret) Green of Salt Lake City; brothers, Dave Green, Brett Green and Bart (Mikki) Green of Salt Lake City; hanai brothers, Josh Towers and Justin Latta of Kona; nieces, nephews and cousins. Jane Etsuko Pollock, 80, of Hilo died Sept. 12 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, she was a housewife. Inurnment service 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at National Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) in Honolulu. Aloha or casual attire. For info, call 283-2650. Survived by daughter, Jennifer Pollock Beattie of Lompoc, Calif.; sons, Jeff (Nora) Pollock of Hilo and Jason (Tiffany Langdon) Pollock of Star, Idaho; sisters, Betty Tomasu, Alice Shiroma and Diane Matsuoka; brother, Patrick Higa; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation for the late Cronin Yoichi Higa is 4-5 p.m. Friday (Oct. 5) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel with celebration of life at 5 p.m. An incorrect day of week appeared in an obituary published Saturday. The Tribune-Herald regrets the error.
