Hawaii County’s Grand Rally will host Democratic incumbents and challengers as they address their supporters at 5 p.m. Friday at the Mo‘oheau Bandstand. This will be the last opportunity to see the candidates in person before the primary election on Saturday.
This reoccurring 64-year traditional
celebration of the first Grand Rally, held in 1954, will feature tents, booths and refreshments provided by the candidates.
Invitations were sent out to every Hawaii Island and statewide candidate.
The event will commence with an address from Hawaii Democratic Party state Chair,
Keali‘i Lopez and will be followed by these Democratic candidates:
U.S. Senate: Sen. Brian Schatz and Sen. Mazie Hirono
U.S. House, Dist. 2: Rep. Tulsi Gabbard and Sherry Campagna
Hawaii governor: Gov. David Ige and U.S. Rep. Colleen Hanabusa
