Timothy J. Fleming, 64, of Ocean View died June 28 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Waukegan, Ill., he was a bus driver, long-haul truck driver, heavy equipment operator and worked for the former Ka‘u Sugar Co. Dennis “Kuchi” Kanani Ibanez Sr., 64, of Hilo died July 21 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, he was a chef and U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran. Gladys Marie De Sa, 97, of Hilo died July 21 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Onomea, she was a homemaker and member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Ronald “Pa” Suemasa Sakuma, 84, of Waimea died July 25 at Hale Ho‘ola Hamakua in Honokaa.
