Jenila Aisen, 58, of Hilo died June 28 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. She was born in Mejit, Marshall Islands. Survived by spouse, Laet Aisen; sons, Jienty (Meria) Aisen, Nesa (Honey) Aisen and Lasen (Helintha) Aisen of the Marshall Islands, Silon (Missy) Aisen of Colorado; daughters, Wutko Aisen of Hilo, Moana (Banton) Nathan of California, Naomi (Anta) Aine of Washington and Grace (Jobane) Aisen of the Marshall Islands; 15 grandchildren; aunts, uncles and cousins. Dorothy-Ann Jean Hance, 86, of Waimea died June 22 on Oahu. Born in Koloa, Kauai, she was a homemaker and member of Daughters of Hawaii. Private celebration of life at a later date. Survived by husband, John “Skip” Hance of Keaau; daughters, Linda (Peter) Baldwin of Poipu, Kauai, Chris Hughes of Chicago, Katherin Nalani Hance of Ahualoa, Julie Hance and Tricia (Tony) Cruz of Keaau; son, John “Tom” (Sara) Hance of California; brother, Dan “Chub” (Maria) Foster of California; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Wendall “Dido” David Karr, aka Wendall Lee Pacheco, 63, of Kurtistown died June 9 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, he was a Realtor, businessman and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation 6-9 p.m. Tuesday (July 10) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake Service at 7 p.m. Visitation again 8:30-9:30 a.m. Wednesday (July 11) at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Lehua Section. Louis “Louie” Leilehua Tarpley, 79, of Kailua-Kona died June 13 at Life Care Center of Kona. Born in Puukapu, Waimea, he was a crane operator for Waterworld and truck driver for Volcanite, Hawaiian Dredging, West Hawaii Concrete, Glover Ameron and Soil Plus. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday, July 14, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kona Stake Center in Kailua-Kona. Memorial service at 10 a.m. Casual attire. Kazuo Yanagihara, 98, of Hilo died May 26 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Hilo, he was co-owner of the former Nick’s Garage Inc. and a U.S. Army World War II veteran. Services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by wife, Kinuko “Kay” Yanagihara of Hilo; son, Casey (Jodie) Yanagihara of Hilo; brothers, Myron Yanagihara of Honolulu and Noboru Yanagihara of Hilo; sister, Dora Akina of Honolulu; sister-in-law, Sachiko Yanagihara of Hilo; nephews, nieces and cousins. Memorial service for the late Barbara J. Littorin is at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 14, at Hauoli Kamanao Church in Milolii. That information was inadvertently omitted from an obituary published Tuesday. The Tribune-Herald regrets the error.
