Born in Kohala, he was a retired combustion control worker for Hawaii Electric Light Co., U.S. Army, original member of Apostles Motorcycle Club and member of Big Island Independents, G &K Ohana and Road Knights motorcycle clubs. Visitation 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday (April 21) at Papaikou Hongwanji Mission Hall. Celebration of life service at 10 a.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by wife, Ethel Carriaga of Hilo; sons, Mariano (Darlene) Carriaga Jr. of Hilo, Mark C. Alton James Carvalho, 59, of Hilo died April 9 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a truck driver and warehouseman for Mihara Transfer Co. and the former HT&T, hunter and fisherman and U.S. Navy veteran.
