UPDATE Feb. 23, 2018, 9:29 a.m.: The Hawaii Fire Department confirms that Naomi Glimane has been found safe.

Police are requesting the public’s assistance to locate a camper who went missing camper on the Puna coastline or Hawaiian Paradise Park.

Naomi Glimane, 37, was camping with her family on the coast off Makuu Drive. She was last seen taking a walk along the shoreline at 10 p.m. Wednesday and hasn’t been seen since.

She’s a local woman, 5 foot two inches, 145 pounds, with long black hair and a tan complexion. She was last seen wearing a long-sleeved shirt and had a backpack and a blanket.

Police and Fire Department personnel have conducted a search of the area while a county helicopter conducted an aerial search of the coastline.

Anyone with information on her location or whereabouts should call the police nonemergency number at 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
