KAILUA-KONA — A search warrant served on an Alii Drive property Wednesday morning in Kailua-Kona resulted in six arrests.
In response to complaints received from the public, officers from the Hawaii Police Department Special Enforcement Unit, Kona Community Policing, Area II Vice and Kona Patrol served a search warrant at a property in the 76-6200 block of Alii Drive.
Maj. Robert Wagner said a makeshift shelter/house was on the property. The search warrant was executed about 7:45 a.m.
The property owner, 44-year-old Matthew Cunningham of Kailua-Kona, was arrested and charged at the scene for an outstanding bench warrant, according to police.
Cunningham also was charged with third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, third-degree promotion of a detrimental drug and possessing drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $2,425.
Police say three men and two women at the property also were taken into custody.
Suspects Kurtis Boylan, 26; Thomas Jenkins, 57; Joseph Wolf, 40; and Cara Prouty, 33, have no permanent address.
Boylan was arrested and charged with third-degree promotion of a detrimental drug and failure to appear. His bail was set at $400.
Jenkins was arrested and charged with third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug and possessing drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $2,025.
Wolf was arrested and charged with two counts of contempt of court and violating conditions of release on bail. His total bail was set at $16,000.
Prouty was arrested and charged with two counts of violating conditions of release on bail and probation violation. Her bail was set at $41,000.
Pauline Fuentes, 40, of Kailua-Kona also was arrested and charged with contempt of court. Her bail was set at $500.
