Hawaii County will begin resurfacing Kilauea Avenue today from the 4-mile bridge to Hale Manu Drive.
The work is expected to be complete by Friday.
Working hours are from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., weather permitting.
The county advises motorists to expect delays and to drive with caution as heavy vehicles and machinery will be in the work zone.
One-lane closures will be in effect and at a minimum of one lane of travel (for two-way traffic) will be provided at all times through the construction area.
