The Department of Land and Natural Resources Division of Forestry and Wildlife is conducting maintenance work on the Muliwai trail and Waimanu campground this week until Friday.
The campground and trail are closed during this period.
This is part of DOFAW’s routine maintenance of the sites, including maintaining proper function of the Clivus composting toilets, litter pickup, removing fallen trees and clearing landslides and use of herbicide to control invasive plants.
The trail and campground are closed and maintained about four times a year.
