KAILUA-KONA — A 31-year-old woman was taken into custody last week in connection with alleged prostitution at a condo complex on Alii Drive in Kailua-Kona, authorities confirmed Monday.
Cynthia Ramos was arrested about 12:15 p.m. Wednesday after a vice officer located her soliciting prostitution, said Maj. Robert Wagner with the Hawaii Police Department.
Wagner said a vice officer previously found the suspect on social media and contacted her about meeting.
In an email, Wagner wrote authorities have seen prostitutes use media sites to advertise.
Wagner added there is no indication Ramos had a pimp.
