Hilo named 11th ‘most breathtaking’ place in North America

Hilo was named among the 34 “Most Breathtaking Places in North America” by the travel blog Expedia.ca.

Locations were chosen for “photo-ready landscapes, extraordinary architecture and historic hideaways that distinguish each as North America’s most beautiful places to visit.”

The blog says Hilo has perfect Pacific Ocean views, a downtown that embraces relaxed coastal living and is close to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, illustrating the “epic beauty and devastation” of volcanoes.
