Rooster talk — in Japanese

Hilo Hongwanji Betsuin Gakuen (Japanese Language School) students, from left, Bito Gervais, Xochi Gervais and Owen Laliberte practiced their speech, “2017 is the Year of Rooster,” on Thursday during a visit to Aya Shehata’s Japanese class at Hilo High School. The three students are participating in the Japanese Speech Festival on April 22 in Honolulu. Their speech, which they will deliver in Japanese language only, is about the good and bad traits of roosters. Ganbatte (do your best)!
