Police seek shoplifting suspect

Police are seeking the public’s help with identifying a man suspected of stealing a laptop computer from a Hilo store.

The alleged theft occurred Feb. 7 and the incident was captured on video surveillance cameras.

The suspect is described as possibly Asian, fair to medium complexion, with black medium length hair. He was wearing a black baseball cap, white T-shirt and black pants and carrying a gray backpack.

Anyone who knows his identity is asked to call the police nonemergency number at 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
