Doors open at 3:30 pm; no tickets are required to attend.
Each year, Youth Symphony I embarks on its “MusicAlive!” Community Service Tour, which aims to showcase the unique and superb musical talents of Hawaii’s finest young musicians from throughout the state.
Youth Symphony I is Hawaii Youth Symphony’s most advanced full orchestra, comprising 98 high school student musicians, grades 9-12, from 27 public, home and independent schools from Oahu and Maui.
Maestro Henry Miyamura, who has taught Hawaii’s musicians for more than 53 years, conducts Youth Symphony I. Earlier this year, the orchestra was featured on National Public Radio’s program “From The Top” (Show No. 331) taped in Honolulu and broadcast nationwide.
