College soccer: Two more shut out losses for Vuls

Goals, let alone wins, are hard to come by for UH-Hilo these days.

Justene Kesterson scored in the 72nd minute Saturday leading Cal Baptist to a 1-0 victory against the scoring-deprived Lady Vulcans at Paiea Stadium in Keaau.

UH-Hilo (2-4-3, 0-3-3 Pacific West) has lost consecutive shutouts at home and has just eight goals in nine matches.

Jenna Hufford turned back six shots against the Lancers (3-3-2, 2-1-1).

The UH-Hilo men were shut out for the sixth time this season, falling to the Lancers 3-0.

The Vulcans (0-5-1, 1-8-1) have nine goals in 10 matches.

The Lancers (6-3, 2-2) got goals from Luca Tschaidse, Kyle Pizano and Matthew Bernard.
