Police are investigating a robbery report Monday morning in downtown Hilo.
A 27-year-old Hilo man told police he was assaulted at about 6:15 a.m. near the corner of Keawe and Haili streets. The man said his wallet and cell phone were taken.
The suspect is described as a local male, about 5-foot-10, 125-130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a yellow T-shirt.
The victim declined treatment for his injuries.
