Police arrest wanted man

Police arrested 42-year-old Mario Hernandez of Keaau, who was the subject of a wanted bulletin.

Hernandez was arrested Tuesday in Hilo and charged with failure to appear. His bail was set at $600.

He also was arrested on suspicion of promoting a dangerous drug for an incident Sept. 6, but wasn’t charged pending further investigation.

Hernandez was detained at the Hilo police cellblock until his initial court appearance Wednesday.
