A Kona man is being charged with three offenses for a confrontation at a construction site last month in Kailua-Kona.
In response to a 9:07 a.m. call Nov. 2 to a construction site on the 72-3100 block of Makani Eka Place, it was reported to Kona Patrol officers that a worker, identified as 23-year-old Cody Lewis Allen of Kailua-Kona, got into an altercation with another worker at the site.
During the confrontation, Allen reportedly fired an air-powered nail gun in the direction of a 59-year-old man, also putting other construction workers in danger. He then reportedly threatened the 59-year-old man with a post, threatened a 34-year-old man with a collapsible baton and slashed the tires of a company truck before driving away from the scene.
After an investigation by Kona police detectives, Allen was arrested Tuesday and charged with terroristic threatening, reckless endangering and criminal property damage. His initial court appearance was Wednesday.
