Hawaiian, Alaska, Delta top airline on-time rankings

(AP) Here are the government’s rankings of the leading airlines and their on-time performance for July. The federal government counts a flight as on time if it arrives within 14 minutes of schedule.

1. Hawaiian Airlines, 88.6 percent

2. Alaska Airlines, 86.4 percent

3. Delta Air Lines, 84.2 percent

4. American and US Airways, 80.0 percent

5. ExpressJet, 78.7 percent

6. SkyWest, 78.8 percent

7. Envoy Air, 78.6 percent

8. Virgin America, 76.8 percent

9. JetBlue Airways, 76.5 percent

10. United Airlines, 73.5 percent

11. Southwest Airlines, 73.5 percent

12. Frontier Airlines, 71.4 percent

13. Spirit Airlines, 68.7 percent

Total for all reporting airlines: 78.1 percent
