Three complete Air Force training
Three Big Island men and women recently graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio.
Kalio M. Shiroma, Trent Kow and Sharnette Gayle D. Reyes achieved the rank of airman.
All three airmen completed an intensive eight-week program. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Shiroma is the son of Monalisa A. Batalona of Paauilo and husband of Leslie Rose B. Shiroma. He is a 2012 graduate of Honokaa High School.
Kow is the son of Jeanette Erece-Kow and Charles Kow of Hilo. He is a 2011 graduate of Waiakea High School.
Reyes is the daughter of Duane E. and Rosanna O. Shelley of Naalehu. The airman is a 2012 graduate of Ka‘u High School in Pahala.
