Crash victim identified

Police identified a man who died Saturday after his car ran off Kanoelehua Avenue in Hilo and struck a cement wall as 61-year-old Thomas Pokorski of Covina, Calif.

According to police, an autopsy conducted Tuesday determined Pokorski died from a medical condition and not as a result of the crash, which means his death does not count toward the official traffic fatality count.
