Parker School announces its summer school enrichment programs for students ages 8-18 and its Cloudy With a Chance of Summer camp from June 1-July 17.

Parker School announces its summer school enrichment programs for students ages 8-18 and its Cloudy With a Chance of Summer camp from June 1-July 17.

The summer school noncredit courses are designed to enthuse and educate students about nontraditional school topics. All courses are experiential and project-based, and many culminate in a final certification or production.

Here are some of the enrichment courses Parker will offer this summer:

• Intro to Jazz/Tap/Ballet (grades 4-6, beginning): 8-10 a.m. June 1-5, instructor Tani Cordova.

• Ballet & Contemporary Improvisational Dance (grades 7-12, intermediate-advanced):

8-10 a.m. June 8-12, instructor Tani Cordova.

• Biodiversity in Hawaii (grades 4-6, all levels): 8 a.m.-noon June 15-19, instructor Tani Cordova.

• Drama Camp (grades 6-12 (all levels): 1-5 p.m. June 29-July 10, instructor Sara Jane Lilley.

• Acting Games & Improv Camp (grades 6-12, all levels): Session I, 1-5 p.m. June 1-5; Session II, 1-5 p.m. July 13-17, instructor Sara Jane Lilley.

• Debate Camp (grades 6-12, all levels): 8 a.m.-noon, July 7-17, instructor Carl Sturges.

• Sculpt It! (grades 6-12, all levels): 8 a.m.-noon June 8-19, instructor Christina Culligan.

• Art in Action! (grades 6-12, all levels): 8 a.m.-noon, June 22-26, instructor Christina Culligan.

Summer camp

This year, Parker School’s summer camp will be full of fun adventures, experiments and amusing weekly themes. This seven-week experience will run from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 1-July 17.

Camp will include art, athletics, performing arts, dance, science experiments, excursions, Wacky Wednesday dress-up days, weekly themes and Wild Water Friday’s.

Here are the weekly summer camp themes:

Week 4: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

Week 5: Pirates of the Caribbean
