It was Waiakea’s tournament, but crosstown rival Hilo High owned it.
Aliyah Pana and Shalyn Guthier each scored 10 points Saturday night to push the Vikings past Mililani 47-42 in a battle of unbeatens on the final day of the Warriors’ preseason girls basketball tournament.
Hilo, the Big Island Interscholastic Federation Division I runner-up last season, finished 3-0 at the tournament.
Mikaela Limper led the Division I Trojans of the Oahu Interscholastic Association with 15 points.

• Mililani 53, Waiakea 51: Mikaela Limper and Sarah Liva each scored 13 points as the Trojans held off a furious rally by Nicole Antonio and the Warriors.
Antonio tallied a game-high 23 points.

• Kamehameha-Hawaii 58, Maui 54: The balanced scoring of Casey Poe (18 points), Makamae Gabriel (18) and Riana Arima (17) carried the Warriors.
The Sabers received 10 points apiece from Liana Tanaka and Jordyn Vega.

• Waiakea 56, Hawaii Prep 25: Kaydee Rapozo’s 11 points and Shaila Apele’s 10 helped the Warriors cruise.
Ula Brostek scored nine points for Ka Makani.

• Keaau 44, Waimea 42: Taylor Pocock poured in 19 points and Jasmine Segobia added 16 as the Cougars came back to win their first game of the tournament.

Ranchell Berinobis led the way with 13 points and Macey Mokuhalii and Erleen Oguma each added 12, and Pahoa pulled away to beat Ka’u 58-35 to claim first place with an unbeaten run at the two-day tournament in Pahala.
Denisha Navaro led the Trojans with 10 points.

Pahoa 59, Kealakehe 22: Vanessa Castro tallied 15 points, while Macey Mokuhalii and Ranchell Bernobis chipped in with 11 apiece for the Daggers.
The Waveriders didn’t register a scorer in double figures, getting six points apiece from Lusia Singh and Kaleonani Anakalea-Haleamau.

• Ka’u 48, Laupahoehoe 25: Bridget Pasion’s 14 points paced the runner-up Trojans.

In a junior varsity game, Pahoa beat Ka’u 29-12.
