Kona artist Kira Kamamalu has been invited to participate in the International Florence Biennale Invitational Contemporary Art Exhibition. She will be included in the 30-and-under category during the exhibition from Nov. 30 to Dec. 8.
Kamamalu will be exhibiting two original paintings of Hawaiian subject matter: one of a pa‘u princess, and the second of a young girl in a lauhala hat. Kamamalu is only the second artist from Hawaii to be invited to participate in the Florence Biennale.
