Close to 3,000 folks of all ages turned out for the second annual Halloween party in Hilo sponsored by the Living Waters Church, the County of Hawaii and the Panaewa Community Association. Additional sponsors for this year included Hilo High School Robotics, Stick It Hawaii, Snow Factory and other supporters.
“We had over 2,850 attendees. It was an awesome turnout and there was plenty of fun to be had by everyone,” said spokeswoman Michele Robles. “There was no shortage of candy or game prizes to be won. The ongoing raffle included prizes for all ages from 0 to 120.”
Among the raffle prizes were numerous bicycles, gift certificates and even an iPad for one of the numerous volunteers.
“It’s an awesome fun family event and we look forward to doing it again in 2014,” Robles said.
