The Laupahoehoe Train Museum announces new hours and museum displays. Public hours have been recently extended on weekends to accommodate local residents and visitors on Hawaii Island.
The museum is now open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, and by appointment from Monday through Wednesday.
“We are also proud to announce that during the upcoming months we will be undergoing a room-by-room renovation of our museum displays. This will include newly enhanced, and interactive exhibits related to the history of Hawaii’s culture and railways along the Hamakua Coast. We look forward to announcing the unveiling of these future projects very soon,” said museum spokesman Dave Herman.
For more information, please contact Herman at 962-6300 or laupahoehoemuseum@gmail.com. The Laupahoehoe Train Museum is at 36-2377 Mamalahoa Highway in Laupahoehoe.
