HONOLULU (AP) — The Hawaii State Judiciary is mailing out juror questionnaires to 235,000 randomly selected residents statewide.
The judiciary mails out the questionnaires each year during the first week of August.
The questionnaires help select people who may be eligible to serve as jurors in 2014.
Those eligible for jury duty must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, a Hawaii resident and able to read and understand English.
Those who receive a questionnaire have 10 days to complete and return them. Anyone who fails to respond may be penalized.
