WAIALUA, Oahu (AP) — A Honolulu skydiver who lost consciousness during a jump from a plane has died.
The medical examiner’s office identifies him as 30-year-old Martin Monahan. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
Hawaii News Now (http://ow.ly/nmjGR ) reports he jumped from a plane over the Dillingham Airfield on Tuesday. He lost consciousness and wasn’t able to deploy his parachute.
Skydive Hawaii says a reserve chute automatically deployed but he landed hard in a field.
