In an effort to raise the remaining $9,000 to pay for this year’s Hilo Bay fireworks extravaganza, the Hilo Jaycees will be offering a number of services and activities around town on the Fourth of July.
Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., admittance to Coconut Island will be $5 per person, and will offer a waterslide and a bouncer provided by Big Island Inflatables, as well as shave ice from new business Snow Factory. Entrants will be supplied wrist bands, and entry is limited to 200 people.
The Jaycees will also be selling water at three different locations: one near the classic car show, one near Liliuokalani Gardens, and another on Coconut Island.
