Chadd ‘Onohi Paishon was honored with the 2013 Mamalahoa Award from the Royal Order of Kamehameha-Mamalahoa on Kamehameha Day on Mokuola (Coconut Island), Hilo, in front of hundreds of well-wishers at the Kamehameha Festival. The Royal Order of Kamehameha has been recognizing the good works of individuals since 1865. The award is bestowed annually upon an individual for exemplary participation, achievement and leadership in preserving and perpetuating, the Hawaiian culture and uplifting the Hawaiian People.
