The Hilo Community Chorus will have six summer rehearsals, beginning June 10 and continuing every other Monday thereafter until Aug. 19, to begin preparation for next spring’s concert, which will feature Haydn’s “Lord Nelson Mass” and Lauridsen’s “Lux Aeterna.”
According to music director Tom McAlexander, the rehearsals are necessary to begin preparation for the Haydn work, so that most of the spring rehearsals can be devoted to the Lauridsen piece.
Rehearsals will take place at the University of Hawaii at Hilo rehearsal room from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. For more information, call McAlexander at 985-7192 or email tommac@hawaii.rr.com.
