A vacant wooden structure in Hawaiian Acres was burned to the ground Tuesday.
The Hawaii County Fire Department extinguished the blaze on Road 7 at 11:15 a.m.
Fire fighters arrived on scene at 10:09 a.m. and got the fire under control in about 20 minutes.
The 10-foot by 20-foot building was accessed by a 300-foot-long driveway.
It’s unclear what caused the blaze.
No utilities were connected to it.
The Hawaii County Police Department was left in charge of the scene.
Estimated value of the building was $4,000 to $5,000.
