Celebrate Mother’s Day with ‘Arts in Bloom’
Treat Mom to a special springtime garden party at “Arts in Bloom” – a Mother’s Day orchid sale and fundraiser in Volcano Village on Saturday, May 11.
This festive new event from Volcano Art Center will be a true celebration honoring mothers and motherhood, with all proceeds directly supporting VAC’s arts education, arts exhibition and rain forest restoration programs on Hawaii Island.
With a dazzling selection of orchids and native plants available for sale, you’ll be sure to find a fresh-picked present for Mom she can admire long after Mother’s Day.
Guests will also enjoy an afternoon of springtime sensory delights, including Niaulani Rain Forest photo tours with photographer Britten Traughber, tea tasting and education with JoAnn Aguirre of the Hawaii Tea Society, plentiful pupus, mimosas and champagne, a silent auction, live music, great giveaways and special surprises.
Arts in Bloom will spring to life from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. inside Hale Ho‘omana, VAC’s multipurpose facility on the Niaulani Campus at 19-4074 Old Volcano Road. Tickets are $5 in advance or $8 at the door and can be purchased online at volcanoartcenter.org, by phone at 967-8222 or in person at the Niaulani Campus and VAC Gallery in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
